All students will be issued a Chromebook for their use at school and at home. The Chromebook will be a vital component of the teaching and learning process at Springton Lake Middle School. Students are expected to bring their Chromebook to school each day, fully charged. Students are expected to exercise caution and good judgement in the care and use of their device. Specific expectations in this regard are outlined in the Student Chromebook User Agreement that is signed at the start of the school year prior to the issuance of the device. Students have the option to place a protective shell or case on their device; however, stickers and decals on the device itself are not permitted. Students may be charged for repairs that result from abuse or neglect of the device. Students who intentionally mistreat or mishandle their Chromebook are also subject to appropriate discipline, including loss of access to the Chromebook. The cost to replace a lost Chromebook will be approximately $200.
