Meet Mrs. McElhenney
My career in the Rose Tree Media School District began back in 1992 at Glenwood Elementary School, where I taught 4th and 5th grade Learning Support for 5 years. When I first came to Indian Lane, I taught an Intensive Learning Support class for 2 years. For the last 20 years I have taught Learning Support in grades K-3.
I received a B.S. degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from West Chester University. In 1992 I earned a Master's degree in Special Education from Penn State University.
My home is in Media with my husband Jim. I have three sons and a daughter-in-law. My oldest son Neil graduated from Neumann University with a degree in Communications and Media Arts. He currently works at PRA Health Sciences. My son Ryan graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Security and Risk Analysis. He currently works for Independence Blue Cross. My youngest son Brendan graduated from Penn State University with a degree in history and works for the Franklin Mint Credit Union.
Some of my favorite things to do are reading, going out to dinner, going to the movies, and watching Penn State football games. I also enjoy spending time at the beach in Sea Isle City with my family and friends. I love teaching and working with all of the families at Indian Lane!
