My name is Stacy McMorrow and I will be your child’s kindergarten teacher this year. I would like to share a little bit about myself with you.
I began teaching in New Jersey in 1990. My family relocated to Pennsylvania, and I have been teaching the intensive learning support class at Indian Lane for the last fourteen years. I am certified to teach both special and elementary education; in addition, I have a master’s degree in special education. My teaching experiences range from kindergarten through the collegiate level. One of my favorite and most rewarding years of teaching involved the development of a kindergarten/first grade inclusive classroom.
Mrs. Dolan (our classroom instructional assistant) and I are very happy to have the opportunity to help your child grow and succeed this school year. We have studied each of your child’s IEPs. In addition, this summer we worked very hard to prepare a structured classroom environment ready to focus strongly on academics, socialization, and communication skills. Our learning community consists of eight unique kindergarten/first grade boys and girls, each with his/her own learning style, interests, history, and hopes.
I look forward to getting to know both you and your little one. We will all be working together to ensure a year filled with excitement, achievement, and success for your child!
