Five of Penncrest High School’s graduating seniors are among just 87 Pennsylvania students who have earned the 2022 PSMLA Global Scholars designation.
Seniors receiving the award this year are Athulya Abhilash, Charles Katz, Hallie Meyer, Arun Mohan, and Shannon Tonetta.
The Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association Global Scholars Program recognizes students who participate in globally focused interdisciplinary studies and activities. The program is designed for students to complete over a four-year period to develop global awareness or competency, and to better prepare themselves for personal and professional success in an increasingly global society.
Students who earn this designation have completed all components of the program in four years or fewer. Undertaking this task requires students to make the deliberate effort to broaden their horizons academically, inquisitively, intellectually, and socially, which will aid them in their future professional endeavors.
Penncrest has distinguished itself by being one of only 17 high schools in Pennsylvania to boast 2022 PSMLA Global Scholars Graduates.
