The Rose Tree Media School District Elementary Strings Program begins in the 4th grade. Students have the opportunity to participate in the string program through 12th grade in Rose Tree Media. It is the goal of the Rose Tree Media School District String Program to provide an enriching and rewarding educational experience for your child.
Strings lessons will start the first week of school. Group lessons are held once a week for 25 minutes during C/E time. All elementary instrumental music lessons occur once every six school days or twice in the 12 day rotating schedule that is in place at the elementary level. Please make sure that your child has his/her instrument and music on their lesson day. Students are encouraged to practice their instrument 15 to 20 minutes a day, five days a week. All beginning strings students are required to have Simply Strings by Denese Odegaard for their instrument (violin, viola, cello or bass) and a music stand for home practice.
