All About Mrs. A.
This is my 17th year teaching, all of which have been at Indian Lane! I am lucky to have student taught right here at Indian Lane, then move to a fourth grade position when one opened. I look forward to seeing the smiling faces of new learners in fourth grade!
I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at West Chester University in 2004. I have also completed a Master's Degree in 2011. I believe that education is something that is a lifelong experience, and I look forward to continuing in my own studies!
I grew up in Springfield and currently live in Media with my husband and daughter, so I am familiar with all of the wonderful things that Media and Middletown have to offer. You will often see my family and me at Linvilla or Dining Under the Stars on State Street. I have an ten-year-old daughter named Maddie, and she enjoys the excitement and activities in Media just as much as I do! Maddie is a fifth grader at Indian Lane, so you might see her around school!
My family travels every year to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It is so much fun to see family from afar come together during this trip! We enjoy spending time outside, and you might find me kayaking at Marsh Creek, taking the dog on a walk, or picking fruit at Indian Orchards. I enjoy trying to garden! I love ALL animals large and small, and have two adopted cats named Theodore and Ripples, and a rescue dog named Cannoli. These wonderful companions are close to my heart! Maddie shares in my love and animals and you will often see us feeding the animals at Linvilla, at the Philadelphia or Elmwood Park Zoos, or the aquarium. We also volunteer at Forgotten Cats. I love photography and taking pictures, and learning all of the amazing things that can be done with a camera. We love a good (or bad!) Phillies game!
I look forward to a wonderful year, and getting to know all about YOU!
